Cross Country Report: Brunswick – 8th Nov 2014

Well done to the nineteen enthusiastic runners representing Team Ecclesall at a very wet and slippery Brunswick school field on Saturday 4th October. A warm welcome to Y4 runner, George Camp, taking part for the first time. It was also great to see Lily Shaw back for the first time this year, meaning that the Y5/6 girls had a full team. Everyone showed great determination in their races.

Special mentions to Amelia Ashmore who was second in the Y4 girls’ race, closely followed by Georgia Tate in 13th. They urgently need more runners to join them to make a full Y4 girls’ team, especially now that they are missing Leila Speed – who has a broken arm. In the Y4 boys’ race Jamie Howse put in his trade-mark sprint finish to take first place. Jonah Raby finished 7th in the Y5/6 boys’ race
The next race will take place at Longley Park (a new cross country venue) on November 22nd.
